Bishop Elect Jesse C Davenport III received Christ at an early age. Bishop Davenport came to know Christ through the powerful impartation of his parents the late Bishop Jesse C Davenport Jr and Mother Frances Davenport who served in the Bible Way Organization for 48 years.
This Revolutionary, Innovative and highly Anointed vessel of God, was called into the ministry in 1994 at the young age of 21. Since that time, “the gifts of the Spirit” have unfolded in his ministry and many souls have been added to the Kingdom of God. In July of 1998, Bishop Jesse Davenport was ordained to the office of Elder. On December 5, 1998, he was promoted and installed as Assistant Pastor. In this capacity, he faithfully aided his father in carrying on the ministry. In 1999, Bishop Jesse C Davenport Jr. passed the mantle onto his son. Bishop Davenport and Bishop Lawrence G Campbell installed Bishop Jesse C Davenport as Senior Pastor of The New Greater Bible Way Temple where the name has been changed to its present, Harvest Kingdom Church.
Bishop Davenport served the community while working for NYPD as an officer for over eight years. During this time, Bishop Davenport received many community awards for his outstanding service to the South Jamaica area. He is the founder of The Boys 2 Men, a development program that provides mentorship for teenage boys to assist them with the transformation to productive men. As an official member of the Community Board 28 Delegates, Bishop Davenport serves as a Police/Clergy Liaison for the 103rd precinct in Jamaica Queens New York. Bishop Davenport continues his education in Theological Studies at the Nyack College and Central Piedmont College in Charlotte North Carolina.
Bishop Davenport presently serves as Senior Pastor of Harvest Kingdom Christian Cathedral in Jamaica, New York and Harvest Kingdom Christian Cathedral of Charlotte, North Carolina. Bishop Davenport is the proud parent of seven wonderful children which includes a set of twins Jesse and Jasmine, Juwan, Janee, Donovan, Tasia and Tiffany. Bishop Davenport also serves as a spiritual father and mentor for many sons and daughters in the gospel.
